Our Commitment

Editorial Policy

Buyary's editorial process is designed to promote accuracy, transparency, independence, and evidence-based evaluation.

Last updated: May 2026

Editorial integrity

Buyary publishes product scores, category guides, product reviews, comparisons, and shopping guidance to help people make more informed decisions. Our goal is to explain what the available evidence says, where it comes from, and how shoppers should think about product trade-offs.

Editorial
Principles

01

Evidence First

Buyary prioritizes evidence over unsupported claims. We rely on cited sources, structured analysis, and source evaluation rather than a single opinion. Readers should be able to inspect the evidence behind an evaluation whenever sources are available.

02

Transparency

Whenever possible, Buyary links to the underlying reviews, ratings, studies, product information, and sources that informed an evaluation.

03

Independence

Commercial relationships do not determine Buyary Scores, rankings, source selection, or editorial conclusions.

04

Clarity

Buyary aims to make product research easier to understand. We explain trade-offs, highlight disagreement where relevant, and avoid presenting complex decisions as simpler than they are.

Aligned
Interest

Buyary is designed to separate editorial evaluation from commercial relationships.

Commercial Relationships

Buyary may earn affiliate commissions from some outbound links. Buyary may also display sponsored placements where clearly disclosed. These relationships do not determine Buyary Scores, product rankings, source selection, editorial conclusions, category guide recommendations, product reviews, or product comparisons.

Sponsored Placements

Sponsored placements are disclosed where they appear. Sponsored placement does not mean a product receives a higher Buyary Score.

Affiliate Links

Some links may generate commissions at no extra cost to shoppers. Affiliate commissions help support Buyary, but they do not influence scoring, rankings, source selection, or editorial conclusions.

Source Conflicts

When evaluating sources, Buyary may consider potential conflicts such as sponsorships, affiliate relationships, brand partnerships, or lack of disclosure.

"Commercial relationships should never determine Buyary Scores, rankings, source selection, or editorial conclusions."

Evolving Data

Content Update Policy

Buyary evaluations may change over time as new information becomes available. Products are not static, new reviews appear, firmware updates roll out, defects emerge, ingredients change, models are revised, and long-term ownership feedback becomes more useful over time.

Buyary's goal is to reflect the best available evidence, not freeze a product's evaluation at one point in time.

Buyary may update a score when:

  • New expert reviews become available
  • Customer sentiment changes materially
  • A product is updated or discontinued
  • New scientific research becomes relevant
  • Long-term reliability information emerges
  • A safety, recall, or defect issue becomes known
  • A source correction or data issue is identified
  • Better evidence becomes available

Editorial Review

Buyary content is produced through a process that combines structured data analysis, source evaluation, category-specific evidence review, and human editorial oversight.

Editorial oversight is led by Taylor Zavattero, VP of Content and Strategic Operations, who is responsible for helping ensure product evidence is organized, evaluated, and presented accurately and fairly across the platform.

Corrections

If information is inaccurate or a source has been misinterpreted, readers can report an issue through our feedback page. Reported issues are reviewed as part of our corrections process, and corrections are made when warranted. We aim to review reported issues within 30 days.
